WHO WE ARE
Our rep for old school standards and kick-ass pints is fully deserved. We love what we do and take pride in everything we serve. Alongside the draughts, we smash a full menu of coffees & bespoke Classic and Signature cocktails inspired by our artistic heritage.
Owner-operator Gayle has been at the reins since 2020, shaping the bar into something that feels properly independent, personal and rooted in Glasgow. That means supporting the people and ideas around us, from our free arcade machine, the large collection of contemporary local art we’ve curated to NO MEAN RADIO, our in-house recording studio. The studio is available free of charge to support independent voices, with our live radio station also on the way. It’s all part of what we want The Variety to be: more than somewhere to get a pint, but a place where Glasgow’s artists, creators, characters and communities celebrate.
